Banducci Associates Architects, Inc. (BAA) is a design-oriented architectural firm with a reputation for excellence in a wide variety of project types. Founded by David Banducci, AIA, in 1987, BAA is headquartered in Pleasanton enabling us to effectively deliver projects throughout the Bay Area and Northern California. Will di Michele has recently been promoted to a Principal in the firm, and will continue his significant role in the design, production and project management of the firm’s key projects.

BAA has a diverse client mix comprised of civic, residential, commercial, interior architecture and building renovation projects. The firm believes in a collaborative process, not only with the client, but also with consultants, contractors and local craftsmen, to achieve the highest standards in the final, built product. Recently, we have developed a special interest in the design of high technology workspace projects, which give the firm the opportunity to integrate architecture, interior design and furnishings into a comprehensive solution that reflects each client’s vision.

OUR TEAM

DAVID BANDUCCI, AIA Founded Banducci Associates Architects, Inc. in 1987.  Mr. Banducci functions as Principal, Lead Designer, and Project Manager on both architectural, renovation, and interiors projects.  He has over forty-four years of experience in the planning, design, and management of civic and commercial projects.  Mr. Banducci has created a design-oriented architectural and interior design firm that emphasizes a high level of quality, service and responsiveness to the Client’s needs in every aspect of each project.  The firm has been published several times, and has received numerous design awards, most notably from the Concrete Masonry Association and the American Institute of Architects. Corporate projects, civic and exterior renovation projects have been a significant part of the firm’s work for many years. Mr. Banducci was recently involved as the project principal for Excite Credit Union Corporate Headquarters project, located in San Jose. Other significant projects include the San Jose Rose Garden Library, the Arena Corporate Center in Sacramento, the South Central Swim Center in San Jose and the West Fremont Office project in Sunnyvale.

WILL DI MICHELE, Principal and Project Architect, has extensive experience in both exterior and interiors projects. Will’s design and technical skill set, combined with his great attention to detail, creativity, good problem solving, strong organizational skills, and experience with consultant coordination has enabled him to deliver projects on time and of high quality. In addition to his 3D rendering and visualization skills, he has been a leader on multiple project types and has engaged City staff to obtain the necessary permits and approvals with great success. Will graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with honors.

SANDY BROOKE received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland College Park and spent the early years of her 35-year career practicing interior design in the mid-Atlantic region. The bulk of her career has been focused on commercial office, retail, healthcare, tenant improvement, landlord and end-user facility design. Her skills include project management, programing, space planning, schematic design, pricing plans, permit documentation, permit coordination with building departments and construction administration. Sandy has extensive experience in Autocad, Excel and Bluebeam.

KAREN BANDUCCI received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from San Jose State University in 1984 and has over thirty-six years of interior design experience.  After working for several of the top interiors firms in the South Bay Area, she joined Banducci Associates in 1993, and has been the lead designer for many of the firm’s interior projects for high-profile Silicon Valley corporate clients.  Her current emphasis is on the design of corporate interiors for the technology industry, often involving comprehensive interior design services including finish and material selections and specifications, along with furniture selection and millwork design.  

VERL ARVIN DELA CRUZ received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. He is a registered and licensed Architect in the Philippines, as well as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), certified by USGBC, and is currently working towards California State Architecture Licensure. His work experience has involved design, preparation of construction documents, project management and construction review of both commercial and residential projects. CAD skills include significant experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray and Revit. His 3D rendering skills have been a valuable asset in presentations to clients and governing agencies.

MERECK PALAZZO received his Bachelor of Architecture and Minor of Sustainable Environments with honors at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He has a passion for design, and a goal to create spaces that are tailored to client needs and promote unity between people and their surrounding environment. Recently relocated from Central Washington, he is happy to be in the Bay Area. Projects he has led in a job captain role include a Credit Union expansion/renovation in San Jose, and a major renovation of the Elks Lodge in Santa Clara.  Both projects have significant exterior and interior improvements. He is currently working towards LEED Accreditation and California State Architecture Licensure.

OLIVIA DU earned her Bachelor of Architecture and Minor in Sustainable Environments from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Cultivated by her early exposure to the construction industry within her family, she is a versatile designer with a passion for both engineering and design. This blend of influences propelled her towards a fulfilling career in architecture. Her skills encompass 3D rendering, graphic design, and proficiency in Rhino, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Vectorworks for 3D modeling and 2D drafting. Currently on the path to achieving California State Architecture Licensure, Olivia is enthusiastic about contributing her expertise to innovative projects in her new environment.
